Fans of Brazilian vibes from the 50s to the early 80s will certainly love the podcasts Radio Avolta has to offer. Visit their website thepodcasters.com (odd, that they didn’t called it radioavolta.com) to download their shows. Large files with lots of songs, unfortunately only 64kpbs encoded. Dear Radio Avolta, can I please have them as ogg-files, since my DAP (digital audio player) can play my favourite lossy audio codec. :-)
[edit: Try Avolta’s show from March 05 about Tim Maia, that features the great (and epic) Rational Culture.]

Yes, it looks like Jose Inacio Castro e Neves Brasileiro de Souza died. My deepest condolences to his relatives.
But you can still access the list of the previous shows:

Yes it is very sad that Jose Inacio Castro e Neves Brasileiro de Souza has passed away. I know a close friend of the man. It seems that he died of a heart attack in true Elvis style! Thats right on the toilet! What a way to go; but I know that he was listening to Ed Lincoln on his iPod while it happened.

Someone has uploaded some cached podcasts, let the rare grooves live on.

I just found this page, and realised that the podcast is now nowhere to be had, and I still had 26 episodes sitting on a drive… I’ve started sharing them as a torrent, http://thepirat...org/tor/4114782
It’s my first ever torrent upload, I thought it would be unfair for me to sit on these and not share them… I hope it works, it might be a bit slow to get started, so please help seed it!
