new design

I’m sure, you’ve noticed it…blog.jazz-not-jazz.com has just been revamped. I hope you all like the new design. I’ve tested this new design in Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer and haven’t found any problems yet. But if you encounter some troubles with the new design please let me know so I can improve it.
On the left side you now find an additional column with randomly chosen pictures of albums or artists. The pictures are all linked to the corresponding reviews/interviews.

Very nice! I find the picture links extremely helpful. And, a change is always refreshingly welcome.

Although I’m a regular reader of your blogs’s feed, I visit your “real” blog now and then and think the new design is very clean and slick. The randomly changing (reviews, interviews, …) pics are great; maybe you could add a title attribute to the links or images so a mouse hover will reveal the interview partner or album title. Keep it up!

Thanks…actually the link itself tells you the artist and album title (e.g. http://blog.jaz...angela-johnson/ ). Works best in Opera though were you can adjust that the link location is always shown next to the pointer when you move your mouse over a link. In Firefox or IE you can always look at the bottom bar…not perfect, I know…but I was just too lazy to include both the alt text and the link title. IE doesn’t show the title only the alt text of the image and the Firefox shows only the title of the link and not the alt text of the image…don’t you just love surprises? *grin*

Love the new design! I thought the old design was fine too, but the new one has a certain je ne sais qua? Maybe it’s the thumbnails running down the middle that’s done it for me… :) Great stuff!
